How to create coupon codes in WooCommerce?

Step-by-Step: How to Create Coupon Codes in WooCommerce:

1. Login to your WordPress Admin Panel
   Go to: yourdomain.com/wp-admin

2. Go to WooCommerce > Marketing > Coupons
   Or in some versions: WooCommerce > Coupons
   (If you don’t see it, go to WooCommerce > Settings > General > Enable coupons)

3. Click on “Add Coupon”
   You’ll see a screen where you can create a new coupon.

4. Enter a Coupon Code
   This is the code customers will enter at checkout. Example: SAVE10
   You can also click “Generate coupon code” for an auto-code.

5. Add a Description (optional)
   For your internal use — not shown to customers.

Coupon Data Settings:

1. General Tab

• Discount type: Choose one:

  • Percentage discount (e.g., 10% off)

  • Fixed cart discount (e.g., $10 off total cart)

  • Fixed product discount (e.g., $5 off per item)

• Coupon amount: Set the discount value

• Allow free shipping: Optional

• Coupon expiry date: Set if needed

2. Usage Restriction Tab

• Minimum / Maximum spend

• Individual use only (Can’t be combined)

• Exclude sale items

• Products / Categories to include or exclude

• Allowed email addresses (optional for specific users)

3. Usage Limits Tab

• Usage limit per coupon: e.g., use 100 times

• Limit per user: e.g., each user can use once

6. Click “Publish” to activate the coupon.

How Customers Use It:

During checkout, there will be a field called “Coupon code” where customers can enter the code you created and apply the discount.
